Fathers and Brothers,

Moderator Dave Cias is issuing a call for a special Called Meeting of Houston Metro Presbytery to be held Thursday, July 10, at 4pm at Christ The King in Houston for the following purposes:
  1. Examine TE Steve Schaper for transfer to HMP and approve his call as pastor of King’s Cross
  2. Approve change in call for TE Curt Mire from Assistant Pastor to Associate Pastor of Christ Church
  3. Approve change in call for TE Alex Martinez from Assistant Pastor to Associate Pastor of Christ the King
This request came to Moderator Cias from TE Mark Blalack, TE Fred Greco, TE Clay Holland, RE Ryan Bowling, RE Daryl Brister, and RE Dave Randall, thus fulfilling the requirements of BCO 13-12 for 3 of each office from at least 3 different churches.
 
This request is timely for the sake of King’s Cross’ pastoral search in general and because TE Schaper has a family and needs to know for sure if he's approved so that he and his family can settle prior to the new school year beginning for his children. Please note, our RPO does not allow examinations before HMP to happen virtually, therefore an in-person meeting is required.
